Sarah Price

Dr Sarah Price (MBBS (H1), FRACP, PhD, DipRANZCOG, DCH, Cert Ob Med) is an Obstetric Medicine Physician and Endocrinologist. She is the Director of Obstetric Medicine at The Women’s Hospital/Frances Perry House in Melbourne and an Endocrinologist at Royal Medicine Hospital. She is the immediate past President of the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society (ADIPS). Dr Price was awarded a PhD from the University of Melbourne for her thesis titled ‘Health consequences for mother and baby of substantial preconception weight loss in women with obesity’. She is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and currently leads the Obstetric Medicine research group based at Royal Women’s Hospital. Her research interests include management of metabolic diseases including obesity, Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes in young women before and during pregnancy, and also the transgenerational transmission of metabolic disease.
